As you explore the Zegagrande Skydom inGranblue Fantasy: Relink, you’ll come across tons of different materials that you can use to forge and upgrade your weapons. Every character has access to their own set of six weapons that can be upgraded, each with its own stats and Traits.
Every type of weapon can be upgraded to level 150, but some weapons have Traits that are better than others. Below, we’ll rank all six weapon types in Granblue Fantasy: Relink by their overall strength and capabilities.

HP 2570
ATK 2003

HP T.Lvl 25
Garrison T.Lvl 15
The Defender Weapons are the default weapons your character comes with when you first recruit them. With the HP and Garrison Traits, they make great defensive weapons, as their name implies. The HP Trait simply increases your maximum health, while Garrison boosts your defense based on how low your current health is.
These Traits aredecent in the early game, and are fairly easy to upgrade, but the stats just aren’t the best later on, especially when things shift to a damage-oriented meta. Still, you’ll want to upgrade your Defender Weapon to take advantage of its Collection Mastery nodes, which greatly increase your health even when the weapon isn’t equipped.

HP 2054
ATK 2660

Stun Power T.Lvl 25
Linked Together T.Lvl 15
Stunner Weapons are a great early-game weapon type with offensive-oriented stats and Traits. The Stun Power Trait greatly increases your ability to fill an enemy’s stun gauge with each attack. This Trait lets you deal more stun damage, filling the gauge faster and allowing you to execute Link Attacks more frequently.
Additionally, Stunner Weapons come with the Linked Together Trait, further increasing the effectiveness of entering and staying in Link Time. These weapons are especially good when used by the whole team at early levels, letting your entire party benefit as much as possible from being in Link Time.

HP 1537
ATK 2299

Critical Hit Rate T.Lvl 25
Critical Hit DMG T.Lvl 15
Stinger Weapons are a great early-game weapon and are only outclassed by one other early-game weapon type. Stinger Weapons provide strong boosts to Critical Hit Rate and Critical Hit Damage, making it easier to deal Critical Hits, which will then hit for more damage.
With a decently high base attack, Stinger Weapons are a great choice for a lot of characters with high hit counts, like Lancelot or Yodarha. Focusing on Critical Hits is a great way to deal some extra damage early on.
HP 1365
ATK 3320
Weak Point DMG T.Lvl 25
Break Assassin T.Lvl 15
Executioner Weapons are one of the strongest pre-endgame weapons in Relink thanks to their two Traits, Weak Point DMG and Break Assassin, as well as their incredibly high base attack stat. Weak Point Damage increases the damage you do to enemies of the weaker element; for example, Fire characters will deal even more damage to Wind enemies like Furycane.
The Weak Point DMG Trait also increases the damage you do when attacking an enemy from behind, while Break Assassin greatly increases your damage against enemies in the Break state. All of these offensive stats combined will have you dealing tons of damage under the right conditions, which is what makes Executioner Weapons so strong.
HP 1146
ATK 1013
ATK T.Lvl 25
HP T.Lvl 15
Ascension Weapons are the second-best weapons in the game, and the ones you’ll be using until you get your Terminus Weapon. While they may just be a stop-gap between the early and endgame weapons, they have some good stats that make them worth using.
With 25 levels in the ATK Trait, you get a nice boost on maxing out this stat, which has exponential increases the more you increase it. The 15 levels in HP provide a 2,600 boost to your maximum health as well. Where Ascension Weapons really start to shine is when you Awaken them, allowing you to continue upgrading them beyond their normal Uncap level, where they’ll gain even more stats.
HP 99
ATK 2285
Catastrophe T.Lvl 25
Regen T.Lvl 15
The best weapon type in the game is the Terminus Weapon. This weapon has the exclusive Catastrophe Trait, which drastically increases attack and damage cap when your maximum health is below 45,000. This requirement is fairly easy to reach, thanks to the weapon’s low base health stat and when using Sigils like Tyranny that lower your maximum health.
Terminus Weapons also have access to Regen, which slowly regenerates your health over time. While not the most necessary, Regen can be nice to have. Similar to Ascension Weapons, Terminus Weapons can be upgraded beyond their final Uncap through Awakening, further increasing their power the more materials you put into them.
