As you journey throughBanishers: Ghosts Of New Eden, you’ll come across a diverse array of chests scattered across the five regions of New Eden. These chests contain valuable resources or currency that can aid in upgrading your equipment or purchasing new items. However, you may encounter locked or cursed chests along the way.
Unlocking cursed chests may seem daunting at first, but the process is straightforward. You’ll need to find three specific items scattered throughout the game world. Once you’ve collected these items, you may use them to perform a ritual on the chests, unlocking access to their rewards.
The Explorer Location #1
You don’t have to go far to find the first Explorer item. It’s located justafter you pass through the rocksnear the cursed chest location.
You’ll come across asmall camp with a hanging pot, andthe item will be inside the pot.
The Explorer Location #2
Now, the second one isn’t as easy as the first. From the previous location,continue forward, and shortly, you’ll finda climbable wall to the left. After climbing up, make your way inside the cave until you finda rope to descend from.
This area is warded, and you’ll need todestroy the wardbefore retrieving the item you’re after.
To do so,descend to the bottom of the cave through the wall to your right. Once at the bottom, walk a bit further, and you’ll come acrosssome wooden barriers blocking the way.
Destroy them, andinside, you’ll find the ward thatneeds to be destroyed to release Antea.
With Antea now available,switch to herand use theOutburst Manifestation on the rocks near the torch on the ground. After that, you’ll findthe second Exploreritem you need.
The Explorer Location #3
For the final one, you need to exit the cave. To do so,climb back up from the wall you descended earlier, thenuse Antea’s Leap Manifestationto exit the cave.
You’ll spot the point where you can use this Manifestation when you switch to Antea.
Outside the cave,drop downandfollow the path to the right. Cross the bridge, and you’ll come across somestairs leading to the building in front of you.
Once you reach the building,look to the right, and you’ll finda well containing the final Explorer itemyou need to unlock the chest.
Now that you have acquired all three items, all you need to do is return to the cursed chest locations andperform the Unbounding ritualto be rewarded with new equipment.
