What Is Horde Hunt?
Horde Hunt is a Multiplayer event for MW3 that runs from February 7 to March 3.Zombies have taken over every facet of MW3, including core Multiplayer and Warzone. Each zombie you kill will drop an event currency, eitherBonesorSkullsdepending on the zombie type. Collect enough of a certain currency type, and you’llreceive a new MWZ Acquisitionor exclusive event cosmetic.
Players can kill zombies in the following modes:
Hordepoint Game Mode
Hordepoint is a 6v6 playlist available through MW3 Multiplayer. This is a variant of Hardpoint that includes PvE elements from MWZ.Zombies will continuously spawn throughout the match, typically near the Hardpoint. They’re about as tough as Low-Tier zombies in MWZ, and they will focus on attacking anyone who’s near the Hardpoint objective.
The good news is thatslain zombies can drop power-ups and Pack-A-Punched weapons.Power-ups only affect the undead and are limited to three types: Insta-Kill, Nuke, and Max Ammo. The Pack-A-Punched weapon also doesn’t carry over between lives, so make it count.

Eliminating five zombies will count as a kill towards your next Killstreak. This also applies to Scorestreaks.
Halfway through the match, the zombies that spawn will be upgraded to a harder variant. The Hordepoint playlist name will allude to which zombie type will spawn. For example, Armored Apocalypse means that Armored Zombies will spawn during the latter half of the match. Expect this to rotate throughout the duration of the event.

Besides the PvE zombies, this mode’s Hardpoint rules are the same as core Multiplayer.Your team must stand within the Hardpoint to accumulate points. The first team to reach 250 points will win the game. Capture the point, keep the undead horde at bay, and defend the point against enemy Operators.
Horde Hunt Rewards
Horde Hunt has12 unique rewardsfor players to earn, most of which are MWZ Acquisitions.you’re able to view your reward progress byvisiting the Challenges menuand selecting the “Events” tab.Be sure to collect the remains of each zombie you slay to progress the event. The more bones you collect, the more rewards you’ll earn.
Upon unlocking all 11 base rewards, you will unlock theKillshot Operator skinfor Swagger. This requires you tocollect a total of 1,000 Zombie bones, 600 Armored Zombie skulls, 300 Hellhound skulls, and 200 Mimic skulls.Normal zombies you slay have a rare chance of dropping bones, while special zombie variants will always drop skulls on death.
Ray Gun Case – MWZ Acquisition
10,000 Bones
Standard zombies you slay in any MW3 playlist have a moderate chance of droppingten bones. You will need a total of 10,000 bones to receive every MWZ Acquisition reward. We recommend farmingMWZ extraction pointsto get this done quickly. The longer the match has been going, the more zombies will spawn when you call in an evac helicopter. Alternatively, farm Escort Contracts.
200 Skulls
Mimics
The featured rewards from this event are earned by eliminating the following zombie types:
Each special zombie you kill will always drop one skull.Armored Zombies are most commonly found in MWZ missions within the High Threat zone. They also have a high spawn rate in the Dark Aether. Hellhounds are common in the High Threat zone and Multiplayer’s Horde Point playlist when it’s Hellhound week.
The Mimic reward is easily the hardest one to earn, requiring you to kill 200 of them in Multiplayer, MWZ, or Warzone. The best Mimic farm is Hordepoint: Mimic Mania,a featured Multiplayer playlist that runs from February 21 to February 28. Even then, expect to earn roughly 6-12 Mimic skulls per game. If this playlist isn’t available, farm Bounty Contracts in MWZ.
